A group of West Virginia coal miners wanted to join the movement and one of King's aides hesitated: "But Dr. King, they're white." King looked at her and asked "Are they poor?" Rich people think we're stupid and I guess they're right; we're so easily set on each other that we don't even notice the rich people robbing us blind.
