  1. I was a teacher for thirty years. I had two principals in the last five years of my career Principal 1 was an old school guy, he was "in charge". A student struck a teacher. Old School had the kid arrested and expelled him. The kid's parents were furious: "You had our son ARRESTED?" Old School: "You're damned right I did. He hit one of my teachers. NOBODY hits one of my teachers." Principal 2 was a woke guy, he wanted to be the kids' friends. A student struck a teacher. Woke School counseled the kid and put him back in the teacher's classroom even after the kid refused to apologize. I filed for early retirement later that year. Last I heard, the school, which used to be orderly and safe, is now in chaos, and teachers are fleeing.
