You don't see smoke on missiles. Missiles leave a smoke trail when launched, and depending on the size the motor burns from 8 seconds to maybe half a minute. The rockets that fire for several minutes are meant for space flight. They remain unpowered and trade velocity for altitude. Once they reach the apex, they start diving down. This leaves no trail. One of the reasons V2 bombs were feared more than V1s was because V1s were essentially cruise missiles and the pulse jet engine buzzed so people knew they were coming. The V2s fell straight down from the sky at supersonic speeds, without warning.

@steveosborne2297 Ammunition depots were struck, which means smaller craters can be explosives thrown around by the strike. Some missiles also have cluster munitions to spread the impact.

@henrybn14ar I've been hearing that for 6 months. How many sunk ships and obliterated air bases is it going to take? Russia was on good terms because their puppet Yanukovych was in power. He had protesters killed and dissidents arrested. The EU didn't do anything. Yanukovych pretended he was going to sign a deal with the EU and then rejected it at the last minute to deal with Russia. This is Putin's power game. And Ukrainians have had enough of him.
