@kiritugeorge4684 How are they being pushed? What's viable and sustainable? Their failures now are the failures you will see for the next few decades. Undeniable? The consumption based economy will require that somehow consumer confidence won't be wiped out by the housing market, that somehow Chinese consumers will lose interest in imported goods. You can't overcome internal problems with hope. They should have started solving those issues a decade ago. And they don't seem to be reversing at all. You need an adult working population NOW, and they take 18-20 years to grow. Imagine having such a weak ego you come on the internet to claim "Western hegemony is broken". What hegemony? There's no hegemony. Everyone does whatever they want, it just so happens that being in good terms with the West is more financially productive. You dream of the la-la-land where somehow hindering your own economy is better. This is the hallmark of the copium dealers who have forgotten to explain why North Korea and Iran do not rule the world when they're already on the Western naughty list and thus should be stronger for it.
