  2.  @sakosan547  Nowadays they sell "3+" rating steel plates that stop 7.62 black tip at 2,800 fps for 90 freaking bucks a piece. At 500m the 7.62 is traveling at what, 1,750 feet per second give or take? The 5.56 doesn't cut it but 7.62 won't either. The DMR actually makes sense because you put a Designated Marksman behind that rifle.
