  1. Not what happened at all. It was EA which was getting sued for using the Little Bird and Humvee tradmarks in Battlefield. And at the same time Medal of Honor Warfighter had the controversy where they licensed real brands and the game journos accused them of selling guns to children (game was rated M for Mature but w/e). Then Activision out of nowhere stated they wouldn't give weapon manufacturers a penny. To score points over EA.

  2. Nobody was getting sued over guns, it was the Little Bird helicopter and Humvee that triggered the lawsuits. And it was EA with their Battlefield series being sued. Activision made it political by getting involved when nobody was suing them, and making a statement.

  5. Yeah but Bushmaster won the court case over the M4 tradmark in 2005. It's incredibly hard to enforce trademarks in videogames. It was political because EA/Dice were being sued over the Battlefield series, not Activision.
