@granola661 lmao nobody's forcing anyone, but you need to pick between military and civil service. Okay, that's still force. What happens if you don't show up to either? I love guns. @w4rpf1nnlad If the opinion is very positive, it shouldn't be mandatory. Nothing is free. You're still paying for it. Amazing, so because the state dangles a few benefits over your head, people can be convinced to give up their bodily autonomy and their lives to the military. It's almost like those benefits are a "poisoned gift" like we saw in my country.

Not only is it immoral, you're only sandbagging yourself with people a professional military would reject. My view points are completely irrelevant to my background. Because it's totally contextual. Mind that most people think of shooting as one hour in a ventilated range where you shoot paper targets. If you take a dive to prone on a 2 gun match or handle steel targets you're gonna ingest lead that the "average" shooter wouldn't come in contact with.

Because mercury based primers made the brass brittle, non-mercury primers used to be "corrosive" (what you typically find in surplus ammo) and the best alternative for decades were lead azide/lead styphanate. There are lead-free, non-mercury and non-corrosive primers but they're more expensive (and less shelf-stable I think).

I don't know what's even the point of saying that, you think that the far-left agreeing with one of my opinions it means I'll be ashamed to have it? No. If most want to serve, it's not necessary to make it mandatory. Training after conscription... You can't be ready for the boxing ring by showing up to a boxing gym for a couple of weeks. I wouldn't bet money on a boxer who only does remedial training so I don't get the logic of betting national defense on people who just got out of a refresher course. Unless we admit that national defense isn't that big of a concern... Peacekeeping missions? More like neo-colonialism.
