Ironic considering that early Hk416s had issues with suppression and HK had to add a front vent on the gas block to bleed off excess pressure. Imagine being one of the MR556 owners who had to drill their gas block because you thought piston drive would solve suppressor woes.

Okay boomer.

Barrel length doesn't add accuracy and properly designed suppressors have very negligeable effects on velocity. Once the gasses enter the first expansion chamber they expand on all diections rather than just pushing the bullet and there will be a slight gap between baffle and bullet that allows gasses to vent past.

@RSBDeprecated No, it doesn't. Stiffness and harmonics have an extremely significant effect on accuracy. Barrel length, not so much. "Not only does additional barrel increase velocity meaning less time subjected to environmental forces" - Depending where you make the cut we could be talking about a 100/200 feet per second difference which translates into a 0.04 second difference even if you go from 2800fps to 2600fps. Also, if you're shooting from the same barrel with every shot (one would hope so) the time to target will be consistent and so the effects will also be consistent until the wind changes drastically. Air pressure will not drop drastically unless you're going to take a shot from a huge cliff and then base jump to the bottom and keep shooting. "it also adds to the stability of the bullet due to the rifleing" - lower velocity does mean slower rotation, but the fact is that 1:7 twist is meant for the longer tracer rounds so there's some leeway.

It's the Bill of Rights not the Bill of Needs.
