  2.  @uummmnocoolnames  They do, but depends on the design. For example the British PLCE belt rig and bergen were designed to be part of the same system, so the bergen hangs high enough that it doesn't sit on your battle belt pouches.

  4. If you have people to do shit in the woods give it a try, if not there could be survival classes near you. The point isn't learning everything in one class, just go do stuff while under supervision so that you don't get lost. The best way to learn is by doing but take care to not go way too deep where you can get lost and freeze. There's military survival manuals, boy scouts manuals, there's books written by former special forces for civilians. Learn knots. There's a channel called Corporal's Corner with tons of info but the most recent videos have very complex shelter builds so you can sort by oldest and just pick what interests you. Survival Lilly has good videos too but again skip the complex shelter build videos. Alfie Aesthetics has less uploads but great videos on building fires, star navigation, etc.

  7. The trees and rocks are your body armor. But seriously you have a limited weight "budget" and carrying armor means less water or food to make up for it. The plan is not getting in a fight and if you do get in a fight to break contact.
