If it was designed as a hunting rifle why did the first prototypes enter military trials (where the composite barrel blew up and was eventually changed to a normal steel barrel)? Stop cucking out. "Civilian" firearms have always been designed based on military designs. The people have the right to military arms.

@samuelheidelberg1234 I have no way to know what Stoner was thinking but he made a lightweight military rifle and Armalite submitted it to military trials, eventually got military contracts for a few nations, and even based his bolt design on the Johnson M1941 rifle (with Johnson's collaboration as well). To claim that the conception had nothing to with not passing the trials doesn't make sense because just the fact that they introduced the weapon to trials says that there was intent for it to be a service rifle. It was the AR15 that ended up selling on the commercial market before being adopted by the military. I don't see why we have to cuck ourselves. We deserve to have military arms. We should have full autos and RPGs. Anything the government has, we should have. We don't need to pussyfoot and claim we only want hunting weapons. I don't give a shit about hunting. I care about defending myself from bipedals, especially jackboot wearing ones.
