Shouldn't you make those choices? A study proving that smoking is bad for you isn't the nanny state. Banning you from smoking is a nanny state. And so what if you have unprotected sex with Cambodian transvestites? HIV seems like the appropriate Darwin Award. A government that is strong enough to prevent you from having unprotected sex is also a government strong enough to shoot you in the head for having sex with a man.
