@DieselRamcharger it's not a matter of blaming successful people, those who are successful don't need help paying for college. Those who are not successful will not benefit from the free ride.

OP said that middle to high income families would send their kids in a free ride to college, while impoverished families would have trouble sending their kids to college even if it was free. He's 100% right. Nobody is blaming successful people. "your parents hard work wasn't a sin." - nobody said it was, would you please stop saying things unrelated to the topic?

With everyone chipping in, the government gets a blank check and nobody checks prices. "Most of the money going towards paying off student loans are interest" - because thanks to the US government, you can no longer pay tuition with a summer job. If college wasn't artificially expensive due to government policies to increase demand without expanding the supply, there would be no need to take a loan or pay any interest. "taxes made by the graduate when they start working goes directly to the government" - fuck the government, I don't want to get a better job to pay more taxes. I want to get paid MORE "No more robbery" - taxation is the ultimate form of theft

@redlightmax you're comparing the relative worth of people to one another, while the worth of healthcare is 100% personal. My healthcare is worth absolutely nothing to anyone else but me, which means that it doesn't matter how common or uncommon it is. However, if you're trying to make yourself seem worthy of employment, having a college degree means nothing if everyone has one.

@CharlesLumia now I am beyond DONE with the push for immigration and the manufactured refugee crisis but "random foreigners"? And any American down the street isn't a "random American"? In what way is a person more valuable because they popped out of a womb inside imaginary lines? @CharlesLumia my neighborhood is full of assholes. I know them, they were born here, raised here, live here. They're not like me and they're going to fuck me over if they have the chance. What country they were in when they popped out of a pussy is irrelevant. "To compare them with a random foreigner is silly" - why? "Not quite sure what your point is there." - I'm unsure what your point is. Americans are all good people, while all foreigners are going to destroy the country because they weren't born in America? There's millions of Americans who either hate America or are unconsciously trying to destroy it, shouldn't they be deported instead? Why are Americans automatically good? "I don't know them because they aren't my neighbor" - you DON'T KNOW 320 million Americans. "They're lowering everyone's wages" - so are women or couples that have multiple kids. Should they be deported?

"a wife who didn't have to work" - but that's exactly the point. Because women are expected to work, you have a greater supply of labour. But because married couples are not consuming twice what they used to, demand has not increased. You're blaming immigrants competing for jobs and ignore the fact that women entering the workforce essentially doubled the pool of available labour.
