  1. ​ @ProdByPrivateJoker  It's an incredible paralel. Germany kept invading countries like Russia. The allied nations didn't want to anger Germany so they allowed it. Like Russia was allowed to invade Transnistria, Crimea, Georgia, etc. Poland triggered a major conflict because it was the last straw. Ukraine was the last straw.

  2. Not true. Yanukovych was elected as a pro-EU candidate. Putin put sanctions on Ukraine. Protests were met with overwhelming police force (the bullets pulled from the bodies were 12ga steel slugs only the police had, made to puncture engine blocks). The US was in favor of letting Yanukovych in power to keep Ukraine stable. This was the Nuland phonecall where Yats gets the PM seat in exchange for Yanukovych keeping the presidency. Police who had murdered and tortured protesters under Yanukovych's orders realized he'd get immunity while they would be prosecuted. Ukraine's corrupt security forces refused to protect the president in protest. Yanukovych fled the country. With an absent president the Verkhovna Rada voted to impeach him. That's not a coup. A parliament having a vote is not a coup.

  3. Wrong. Nuland wanted to keep Yanukovych. The deal was Yanukovych keeps presidency but Yats gets the PM seat as compromise to end the protests. Police who murdered protesters refused to protect Yanukovych which made him flee.
