@ddjohnson9717 Not really. Banning drugs has only created a massive market for them, and ensuring people will go to greath lengths to cross the border with them. You could airdrop crates of machine guns in the streets of Seoul or Tokyo and you wouldn't see shootings because people wouldn't go crazy simply from having guns. If you actually wanted to make a point you'd bring up how the Japanese and Korean keep stabbing each other because they want to kill but have no guns. But that's not happening. They're not stabbing each other to death everywhere. So you can't say lack of guns makes them peaceful with all weapon types.

@ddjohnson9717 But I didn't. Some of the countries with the highest gun violence have extremely strict gun laws. Mexico has very strict laws and they had authentic bloodbaths during the height of the cartel wars. El Salvador and Honduras have very low gun ownership rates but some of the highest gun homicide in the world. Brazil is also extremely violent with guns, and they had strict gun laws for the last 20 years. Their current president tried to loosen them but the supreme court shut it down. "They absolutely are" - They're not. Japan has extremely low homicide rates. "War on drugs in USA is not a thing US government really wanted to do, and that's why it has failed" - That's ridiculous. The war on drugs is absolutely massive. It's an entire law enforcement industry and a major source of convictions in the justice system. "If China can do it, the only reason US would fail is simply due to the government is not pushing the ban hard enough." - So your argument is we should be like China. Hard no.

@calebchristensen8207 Well, he's sort of the only one that decided to be a "celebrity". Jstark hid his face on the only interview he did, Ivan only did podcasts, I don't think any of the AWCY have shown their face either, Derwood has a... complicated temper and people like Mussy aren't liberty freaks like Cody. Usually I'd chalk it up to journos being journos but there is some logic in not spoonfeeding. Anyone who wants in can fall down the rabbit hole, but keep Cody around as a lighting rod that attracts the hate from the normies who can't figure it out.
