@Digger-Nick He's saying that if prices were allowed to be raised, he'd have been able to buy alcohol. But because some states have anti-capitalist rules stating that you can't raise prices during emergencies, some dude bought an entire case he's not gonna use.

What's more ethical, allowing supply and demand to naturally reflect consumer demand, or some dude wiping an entire shelf of supplies because of the """""ethical"""" requirement to not allow price hikes?

If the price was kept low, that bottle wouldn't be there in the first place.

The camera might be an issue considering that the fancy cameras typically record at a bit rate that is incompatible with live chat and it still has the problem that you'd need to send an extra camera crew to someone's house so that they can be interviewed.

"Don't worry guys the invisible hand of the market will give us THE FASTEST response to a crisis possible. NOTHING but PRICE can allocate resources to an area that desperately needs them fast enough." - This, but unironically. Many alcoholic beverage manufacturers are pulling their bottled products off the truck and distilling them to sell alcohol to medical facilities. Right now, disinfectant alcohol is much more profitable than booze. "take government action to command production and distribution to best serve the people" - government action is dictated by a bunch of bureaucrats who can't get complete and accurate information and don't have the processing power to make decisions off it even if it was complete and accurate

@Digger-Nick "Some random dude could buy a whole case AT ANY POINT IN TIME WHENEVER THEY WANT." - But "at any point" there would be a resupply a few days later and just driving for a while would bring you to a store that still had it in stock because our hypothetical hoarder was satisfied/hadn't hit that store yet.
