  1. So far we have reports from the coroners, which have not been released (AFAIK). That means I'm not believing what I'm being told until I have proof. If rounds from handguns are the same thing as rifle rounds, why does the military carry rifles? Handguns would be much lighter, the magazines are slimmer, etc. If handguns do the same damage to human tissue as rifle rounds, then why are assault weapons so dangerous?

  4. I don't know anyone that conceal carries an assault rifle. Specially because they are 15,000 a piece (full auto regulated since 1986) and I wouldn't trust 15k to sit on an evidence room. Also because you'd need a trench coat to conceal it. There are other sources that say his AR15 jammed, and he had to use a handgun and a shotgun. As you can see, there's hardly any consistency. In the recent shooting the perp apparently left the AR15 in the trunk of his car, while others claim it was used.

  7. That's a Strawman argument. And FOR THE LOVE OF JEBUS H. SOMETHING, ASSAULT RIFLES ARE HEAVILY RESTRICTED BY THE ATF. For the love of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, nobody carries AR15s around. And by the way, there is no released proof that the AR15 the shooter stole was used.

Fine, even if it's not needed doesn't mean people shouldn't have it. More people are killed by hammers than rifles. It has been deemed to be unconstitutional to ban an entire class of weapons before.
