@alpha-tomahawk532 "same people" is BS. It's like saying the Portuguese and Spanish are the same people. Or the Dutch and German are the same people.

Exeunt Omnes - Alphabetzgruppen Political Prisoner This is ridiculous. When was the last time you've been inside a prison?

My favorite is the cutest girl ever being asked if she would drop the atomic bomb and she says "Yes" and when asked why she's like "just because :3"

For historical context, the legend says that in the Iberian peninsula a province lead by a warlord called Viriato could not be taken by Roman soldiers, so the Romans bribed two trusted men to assassinate him. When those men came to the Romans to collect the bounty they replied that Rome does not reward traitors. This is both a patriotic tale and a cautionary tale in Portugal.

@NatszymOg Name a military action by Ukraine against Russia prior to Feburary 2022.

It's important to remember that the "shock therapy" was disregarded as many Soviet-era apparatchiks just said "Soviet money printer goes BRRRRT" and went against the monetary policy which lead to massive inflation. Then Yeltsin's "loans for shares" controversy sold off Russia's industry for pennies on the dollar. Shock therapy is the scapegoat.

@djwaffle The WNBA just draws less viewers and sponsors. Countries like Russia have a "prestige" and money laundering opportunity so they don't focus so much on profitability. A female league sponsored by local governments and oligarchs can recruit top players, offer much higher salaries, then just have those teams collect trophies. They make the main money off oil and gas so the sports thing is a side hustle they can afford to lose money on or use betting to launder money. A similar thing was seen in Chinese soccer, where western players would compete in China for a few years for the paycheck. And now you see the Middle East getting in on the action.

Pre-2005 Mercedes, though. Taxi drivers did not feel like paying to get newer ones registered because Mercedes maintenance became a hassle pas the mid 2000s. Nowadays Dacia is taking over.
23
Oh you care about Ukraine? Name three of their albums.
22
@fab006 Okay, so if Canada invades Thailand, a British comedian can't do a tour in English in Singapore? Even if Russian-speaking fans were all for the invasion, wouldn't it be nice if he took their money and anonymously donated some to Ukraine?

@grexseven4864 in 2011, NATO and Russia had joint training exercises.

I think it is a good idea simply because of the results. 6 months of brutal war, nothing. Suggest taking away the fancy Europe vacations and all the Karens start screeching about it online. The amount of insanity it has provoked is the proof it's gonna work. When a kid needs to be grounded and the child says "take everything but my xbox!" you know that's the thing that will work.
15
@AlexanderJohnLee that's not cognitive dissonance

@frank1313 "people have opinions" not when they just copy paste what the man on the phone screen says "How exactly is Tate bad?" He literally admits to have groomed women to do cam shows for him while he chatted men pretending to be the girls. Top G was a digital fluffer and turned women onto sex work. I rest my case.

@bryanrogoff9192 The fudge does that even mean. Supporting Russia is arguing for your own defeat. Supporting Ukraine... even if you have a reason to not care, it pretty much doesn't affect you. They got less money per year than the US was spending in Afghanistan and Iraq.
13
Yeah now post what Chomsky said about the Khmer Rouge, the actions of the Serbs in the 90s and now about Ukraine.
11
The brain drain is also a release valve.
11
@nyph933 "Plus they are saving the world." - how the fuck is patrolling Afghanistan gonna save the world? "And all the young men and women going into the US Armed Forces simply want to serve their country." - and they ended up in the desert rather than defending their homeland. "How about instead of you having a mental breakdown in youtube comments, you go thank them for their service." - But why, exactly? What did any of them do for the American people?

@BengVideo You can get a visa if you have an employment opportunity, and an acting gig would suffice. It just takes time and since they needed the competitors at the same time they didn't risk it.

Solovyov taught Economics at the University of Alabama.

@natalieviktorya115 There's Roman architecture in Portugal and Spain, does that mean they belong to Italy? There's also Islamic architecture there because of the Umayyad Caliphate. Does that mean they belong to Saudi Arabia?
7
@wederMaxim "explain what's wrong with Stalin" pretty sure Krushchev had a massive speech in front of the Soviet comitte about how bad Stalin was and de-Stalinization was necessary, no neet to repeat
7
In the New Year's Eve for the new millenium, when Y2K was on people's minds, he claimed that the Russian nuclear missile systems were automatically attacking America.
7
@MegaLol232 But "woke" had a real meaning. It got overused and then it went mainstream. The people who say woke today never read it being used without irony.
7
@nyph933 "Iraqi civilians or terrorists? Barely any difference anyways." - ok, boomer
6
The Hummer H1 was based on the Humvee but the H2 and H3 are GM truck chassis dressed up to look like the original H1.
6
A lot of 3d modellers focus on American gear rather than the 15 different variants of tanks Russia uses.
6
@Radaos the 1950s is usually picked as the "pre-EMP" era because old electronics are more resistant. Vacuum tubes are harder to induce high current spikes into.
6
@itwillbe-itwillnotbe-itis Canada did that. Not Zelensky. In hilarious Canadian fashion, they tried to surprise Zelensky by bringing that guy as a nice gesture.
6
@Girtharmstrong69 Ukraine only wants people with combat experience. Even former military can't join.
5
@weasle2904 in the US armed forces you have a low chance of dying in combat because we perfected combat medicine and ballistic protection to the point it's very difficult to die. You can lose your limbs and get paralyzed but by god, unless you're so close to an explosion you turn into pink mist or you get shot in the head, you're probably going to survive.
5
@QWERTY-gp8fd literally nobody mentioned disagreements, just specific patterns.
5
Palestinian TV made a live action show for children where characters wore Disney character outfits. Eventually they stopped because Disney told them to stop. The Mickey Mouse character was called Farfour and in one episode he gets beat up by an Israeli for not giving up the deed to his home.
5
Just ask them if they ever watched Red Dawn (1984).
5
@pgm8464 Q was a poster on a chan website who would post "drops" of information. It was about supporting Trump and it eventually lead to people believing JFK's son who died in a car crash would come back and run for VP with Trump.
5
I didn't have a phone in the 90s
5
@BatMan-7777 Already a thing. Movies like Valley of the Wolves already used Americans as bad guys.
5
@chartreux1532 I'm not acting like people 100 years ago, because I can read what others are saying, I can talk to them. I judge them based on actual interaction. And perhaps 90% of those interactions make it clear - they're beyond saving.
5
Meh, Kremlintarians are a thing. The "anti-war" libertarians simp for anyone that the US has beef with.
4
@schmittian1313 But Russia accepts foreigners without any military experience, Ukraine rejects everyone without combat experience.
4
@BaronUnderbite Because 99.999% of people can't meet the requirements. I know people who were in Afghanistan who were rejected. They don't want people who haven't been to real war.
4
This is common across the old guard leftists. The Portuguese communist party refused to say the word "war" for the first few months. And to this day they say they are for peace because the arms companies are profiting off the war. Not to protect Ukraine. Not because of what's just and moral. But because someone out there is profiting off the munitions Ukrainians fire in their defese. These are known as "tankies".
4
He has lived in the US and taught Economics in a university in Alabama.

The difference is that equivalent music from other countries is just for getting drunk at the small town festivals. This is an emo anthem about everyone hating you (for starting a war).
4
@mpr9419 When consevatives were the status quo they whined about metal music, videogames, etc. The same forms of media being targeted today for not being progressive enough.
4
Check out the Center for Political Innovations 2022 Chicago opening ceremony too.
4
@razumskiy They speak the language just like many Finns and Estonians speak the Russian language - the proximity promotes it. Ukraine was Russified during the Russian Empire and on-and-off during the Soviet Union.
4
For the lack of a better descriptor, I am right wing. I support sending Ukraine more artillery/shells and ATACMS missiles to bring down the Kerch bridge for good and leave the Russian army no escape.
4
@joeshmo4892 You can have an opinion but the MO of many people is always the same. They find a video that criticizes anything Russia did and post "but America/the West does it too". Like, okay? Two wrongs don't make a right.
