  4. During the Cold War we sort of defaulted to the Russian way of saying it. I was a kid in the 90s and I remember being told that saying "the Ukraine" should be avoided out of respect, most people do it out of habit because it still "sounds right". Some actually say it because they're on the side of Russia but those are mostly on online alternate news.

  5.  @robertsmith4681  There's also an old video of him saying that instead of threatening its neighbors Russia should develop itself and become friendly so that other countries want to join them. He most likely did a "deal with the devil" and now acts as an ultranationalist for money.
