@Latbirget Right now the right-wing is very sensitive so isolationist/anti-war sentiment because of the shift that occurred during the Obama administration, and let's face it rural conservatives are probably more likely to have seen the human costs of the wars. But this has lead to propaganda being easy to inject into right wing circles.

@irabakri2662 Hasan Piker is a streamer who became popular thanks to his uncle Cenk Uyghur, who runs The Young Turks. He is famous for being a political streamer who dishes out hot takes and leaves other people's videos on to keep the audience entertained while he cooks.

@u0000-u2x That's a very "hollywood" way of thinking about Nazism. There's plenty of racist people who have outdated beliefs, but don't want genocide. There's Nazis who aren't concerned that much about race. If I'm not mistaken Nazi Germany did consider Persians as another Aryan people and even had Indian volunteers fighting in their foreign volunteer units because they wanted to fight the British Empire.

@TheBanana93 No, it wasn't. I criticized the war, and the critique of the war was very well represented by the media. In the early days if you were against the war you were a terrorist sympathizer because people were still seeing red after 9/11, but feelings subsided. Obama was elected partly because of the promise to end the wars and close Gitmo. Trump also hinted that he was against the wars when he began his "twitter campaign" in 2015. People criticized movies like Zero Dark Thirty and American Sniper.

They'll switch sides in the US too. During the Obama years they backed the Tea Party and libertarians. After Trump they started bringing in people like Wolff, economist who says China is successful because of socialism, and Stone, the filmmaker who was friends with Hugo Chavez.

Marx, Lenin and Stalin were hilariously wrong. War steals money from a country and turns it into craters. Huge sums of money that go up in smoke. Tell me all about the capitalists in Ukraine happy that their stores and factories got bombed out. All the capitalists in Russia wondering if they'll have to close down if their workers are called for mobilization.

@Kongongongg The military is what, maybe 1-3% of the economy? For defense corporations to profit, everyone else has to get paid less or taxed more. The war doesn't save economy. It damages the economy. Lend-lease was a very forgiving deal and the US didn't profit.

Sorry, but that's the usual copout. I've seen a lot of people go as far as concern-troll by saying that the sooner Ukraine surrenders the less lives are lost. Yeah, they want less people to die, by just opening the gates to the "liberation force". I know it's a good thing to see the kindness in others, but here you have to be cynical. For example the Portuguese Communist Party has stated they're against war, but when the secretary-general was asked if Ukraine was being invaded he refused to answer and insisted on calling it a conflict. Obviously only a true nutter wants war. People say they wish there was no conflict, but refuse to condemn Russia.
