@wederMaxim "explain what's wrong with Stalin" pretty sure Krushchev had a massive speech in front of the Soviet comitte about how bad Stalin was and de-Stalinization was necessary, no neet to repeat

@JOONGARIK the military megachurch had stained glass windows with Stalin, almost like a religious saint. After pictures leaked they may have been removed, but Stalin's image had been rehabilitated.

@wokeaf1337 Galileo is the example everyone reaches for, but he almost got away with his heliocentric model being published. He had already made enemies and had also attacked Aristotelian philosophy so Pope Urban was most likely pressured into prosecuting Galileo as he was also under accusation of being too lenient on heretics. Plus, Galileo was born in 1564 which was already considered the Renaissance period. So basically I wasted my time here because this has nothing to do with the Dark Age. To reinforce the Dark Age myth you have to bring up an example from the Renaissance. Huh. Funny how that works.

@wokeaf1337 I'm saying that you have one example, and that example is filled with political intrigue plus it happened outside the Dark Ages. You made a claim about the Dark Ages and then used evidence from the Renaissance era to back it up. The church wasn't suppressing science, in fact a lot of early science was done by monks in monasteries. The problem is that after the collapse of the Roman empire it look a long while for trade and lines of communication to allow the Renaissance.

@ayrat7410 unless a party can get absolute majority, we get a two party system too. They're called coalitions.

The US medical industry is over regulated, the regulations protect the companies. That's why something that costs 2 dollars to produce is sold to hospitals for $700.

@TheBLGL Freedom Fries was done by like one restaurant and a comittee leader managed to change the name in the government cafeterias because he had the power to do it. Freedom Fries was a nothingburger, pun intended, that got out of hand. Public opinion thought it was riddiculous.

@comradeconrad3636 the Dark Age is a myth by Ancient Greece fanboys, and religion did not suppress scientific progress.

@wokeaf1337 It was called Dark Ages because of biased historians. This is known to be historical fact. Meanwhile, during the Dark Ages monks were the primary pushers of science because they had the highest literacy rates.

In most of the world it's like that.
