>Nobody is talking about starting an (underground) gun factory Neither was I. > In a few years, it's believed that 3D printers will be dirt cheap Totally reasonable, nobody had printers in their home in the 70's. The thing I wanted to get at is that you don't even need to own the 3d printer. There's hackerspaces in where you just pay for the materials cost and print away. People can do this right now without having to invest in 3d printers.

There's nothing wrong with calling someone under 25 a "girl".

What the fuck are you on about? It's fucking semantics. There's places where bathrooms say "boys" and "girls", does that mean adults aren't allowed in? You're making it seem like it's some kind of hateful thing to say to someone. Oh, no, people thinking I'm younger than I actually am, first world problems! Is the term "girlfriend" offensive to people over 30? We all have to call them wives by that point?

ArtisanTony tried to print the Liberator with the cheap printers. Not very easy, he had to alter the design.

>but those machines are ridiculously expensive Let's speak in relative terms. AKs and other stamped guns are mostly cheap and mass produced easily, but the stamping machinery is quite expensive. Most small arms makers use CNC machining as pretty much anyone willing to do the investment can afford one. Expensive for personal use? Totally. But if it's an enterprise and you're in it (tooling, operators, etc) it's probably the way many started.
