>to up close and personal? yea, maybe for most people The vast majority gunfights occur at less than 21ft away, and most of those occur at only 7ft away. In fact, 2/3 of self-defense shootings occur at such close distances the shooter can't extend the arm to use the sights.

I'm pretty sure what you said applies to the majority, but a minority in over a million people is still a dangerous number. Like the Ft Hood shooting guy, I know he was a nutter, but he was turned into shooting his own comrades. Not everyone is an American loving patriot. I mean, Gen McChrystal proved he was a traitor when he went to TV to claim how 5.56 is so much powerful than anything else (it isn't).

Thugs don't follow gun laws. Most of them buy from other criminals or ask a relative/friend to buy them one.

Using the NRA as an argument doesn't invalidate anyone's personal beliefs, a lot of gun owners do not support the NRA, even though they need the numbers to help gun rights. Mate...

Well let me tell you, I've never met anyone who thinks shooting at another person is comfortable. It's still a psychological baggage. >Alot of people aren't comfortable with getting someone's blood on them Usually the people with murderous intentions aren't that kind of people. I mean, more people are bludgeoned to death by blunt objects than shot by rifles.

>militia groups stand no chance against nukes or drones, and the military has both. Then tell me how did the Taliban manage to fight those things for a decade. Tell me how can a drone take off if the runways are captured or sabotaged. Tell me how many rockets can a drone carry before needing to re-arm, etc. Superior technology doesn't mean instant win.
