>Do you realize how many governments do have gun laws? That's an Ad Populum and an Argument From Authority. Just because lots of people do it doesn't mean it's right. A lot of governments also carried out genocides. If everyone jumps off a cliff doesn't mean you should. Also, many other governments don't allow you to have free speech, due process, right to trial. A lot of governments placed CCTV everywhere and consider everyone to be guilty until proven innocent.

And your parents compared going to a party to jumping off a cliff. It's not a direct analogy or even a comparison, it's just the point that other people don't know what's best for us. >cars have laws I can buy and drive one in my property without licensing or registration. Just like guns. >seat belt Stop the "hurr durr oppression" argument. Plus, seat belt laws are stupid and Germany has unrestricted autobahns. >friggin gun Friggin hammer. Friggin knife. Friggin fertilizer.

The wild west wasn't the "wild west". Unless you use Hollywood movies as research references.

>I really don't understand this obsession with guns I don't understand the obsession with gun-grabbing. >many innocent lives get ruined Which happens in every country, everywhere, in any way. If you're going to ignore everything that happens and just point at situations where guns are involved, you've already lost. >there are so many accidents 5x more likely to drown, 5x more likely to burn, 17x more likely to be poisoned, 68x more likely to die in a car crash, 17x more to fall and die.

>their If you're going to insult me at least do it directly. If you go by anti-gun stats, from 1987-1990 there were a quarter million gun defensive uses (1 for every 320 gun owner, assuming 80 million, ONLY COUNTING INSTANCES OF GUNSHOTS FIRED) compared to 46k murders in the same period. By pro-gun estimates, 2.5 million defensive uses PER YEAR. The most accepted stat is 700k per YEAR, in which most no gunshots are fired at the attacker. That's 1/142,85 assuming 100M gun owners. >fantasies

Most murders occur from gangland warfare. So if you are not a gangbanger, you're already statistically less likely to be killed in a firefight. A big part of murder victims have been in "the system". If you haven't got serious offenses on your criminal record, you're already even safer. Are you afraid of mass shootings? In the last 30 years lightning strikes killed 3 times more than mass shootings. If you live your life in fear, you're paranoid.

I'm against any kind of licensing, registration or harassment, undermining, limitation or restrictions on the Second Amendment. Most murderers have a violent past (such as domestic abuse), normal people don't just murder others. Easy way to solve this situation is make domestic abuse a felony, because felons can't legally own guns.

Automatic weapons were banned in 1986, restricted since 1934. Only one or two crimes were committed with them. Even illegally obtained automatics are rarely used in crime. There's no such thing as extended clips. A stripper clip is a piece of metal that holds the ammunition and feeds it into a magazine. There's extended magazine baseplates but they give you one or two extra rounds. Please look into the arguments you make before engaging in any debate.

False. The first machine gun, with revolving chambers, was invented in 1718. A rapid fire rifle was made in 1777. Repeating rifles existed since the 1600's in Europe. Just because the American rebellion used mostly muskets (and artillery, owned by civilians) doesn't mean other countries were oblivious to firearms.

I agree, not letting domestic abusers keep guns because of domestic murders won't solve anything because women (and men, to be fair) around the world are stabbed, pushed off balconies, beaten to death, hit with a blunt object on the head, etc. But the anti-gun logic is that it doesn't matter how people die as long as it's not a gun that was used. And I do believe a domestic abuser is more likely to be a murderer than the average person.

Again, you're MASSIVELY misinterpreting what I said. I said that you used a logical fallacy called Ad Populum. > I think this is something that should be taken seriously ._. And that's why you're using the silly little smileys. I'm using FACTS and you refuse to address them, while you use emotional arguments.

That's an invalid analogy and a serious Reductio ad absurdum.
