An increase of 4°C would be terrible. Mind that we're talking about potentially missing the 1.5°C limit we imposed on ourselves for 2100 (?).

@LTVoyager I am sure it would be terrible. An average increase of 4ºC would mean in some places temperatures could rise as much as 15-20ºC on a hot summer day. Temperate regions could turn bone dry.

@eattherich1793 The explanation in the video is correct. The issue here is the logarithmic rate and how functions can be approached with local linearizations. Both sides will keep talking past each other until this is explained in a way we laymen can understand.
