@jonathanolson772 No, it isn't relevant. You're arguing why certain cryptos aren't valuable, which isn't the point. The point is that creating an infinite number of altcoins does NOT negate scarcity. I'm only talking about ECONOMIC PRINCIPLES. I can't figure out what's worse, the fact that you're not reading or the fact that people are updooting the comments of someone who barged in a discussion and started mouthing off about unrelated topics.

Endless shitcoins are not an issue because whenever there is no demand for alternatives nobody has an incentive to accept them as form of payment.

@jonathanolson772 How is scarcity a moot point when a non-scarce coin that can be issued at will is completely worthless? I'm not even mentioning Bitcoin at this point.

@jonathanolson772 Again, that is correct but it changes nothing. Scarcity is a requirement for a coin, but if people are dumping worthless trash in a landfill we can't exactly call it "scarce" when nobody even bothers to pick it up.
