"doing well" - just ignore the forced relocations for the purpose of ethnic cleansing, genocide, political repression, etc.

@eugenemorozov If you relocate an ethnic group out of a certain area that's ethnic cleansing, ya doof. "There was no genocide - it's a western propaganda" - There was genocide, denial is Russian propaganda. "UK, which is a capitalist country, committed genocide in Burma and India, so what?" - That so what seems to me like a thinly veiled admission that you don't care that communists are murderous scum. I'm not British nor did I ever defend the actions of the British. "Who does remember that now?" - That was literally Hitler's argument. "Who remembers the Armenians?" "USA started from genocide of native indians" - But almost nobody denies that happened, while Soviet genocide deniers are extremely common. "So if you compare atrocities committed by capitalist UK and USA societies - they're much worse." - Not by much. The tally of people killed by socialist states in the 20th century alone is almost half of the number of people killed by all governments in the same time period.

"Also, all the nations that joined USSR (e.g. baltic states) had significantly growing population" - Nice Nazi tactic. The Nazis also claim that the Jewish population growth disproves the holocaust. Either way, census records from for example Ukraine do prove that there's a missing 3-4 million people. Even though population grew, it did not grow as fast as expected because deaths were so high. Stalin had the heads of the census board arrested and the following census the numbers were forged. "which is now severely declining" - Population is declining all over the West too. Birth rates were higher back then. They're lower now. It doesn't mean we're murdering people, it means we're not having as many babies.
