Also, apartheid regimes were wrong but they were receiving a lot of support because the liberation movements were Marxist-Leninist or Maoist in nature. So it's more complex than people simply supporting South Africa and Rhodesia because "ahahah racism good".

Sorry man but that's an incomplete explanation. The fact is that the stock market is overvalued. The "wealth effect" theory proponents argue that maintaining the sham is required to keep people spending. When you add bailouts to the mix, it gives investors the incentive to take the gamble on riskier investments. The financial sector needs to be punished for bad investments or else you're compounding the problem.
