@antred11 The bailout wasn't meant to prevent people from losing their homes (many did). It was meant to prop up the economy and prevent all the "too big to fail" institutions from crumbling down and taking the entire world's economy with it. Even then, the premise was a lie. The stock market was overvalued and was about face reality. So the bailout was meant to maintain the inflated values.

@antred11 You asked how people would be prevented from losing their houses. That wasn't the purpose of the bailout. What you're asking is inherently nonsensical.
