  7.  Marten Dekker  Don't know why your comment disappeared but "regulating" capitalism is still capitalism, public services are not "socialism". Socialism doesn't mean free stuff. Socialism is defined by the prohibition of capitalism - property and profit are banned. The funds for the libraries, roads, healthcare, education, etc are simply "skimmed off the top" from capitalist profits. That's how it works in most of the western world. It's not socialism. Socialism is arriving at the factory, taking the owner up to a wall and executing him so that the "workers" (represented by the state) can collectively own the factory.

I'm sorry, but you can't go around saying others are wrong when it's literally you who hasn't spent a minute learning the theory. Socialism has ALWAYS been a post-revolutionary system meant to transition the state into a stateless system. Within socialism, the vanguard party takes control of the state and uses its power to bring about the implementation of communism. You can literally look this up. That is why there was a Union of Socialist Soviet Republics, and all of these Socialist Republics were controlled by their respective Communist Party. Have you ever wondered why Communists controlled states when their ideology is meant to be stateless? That's why. They were meant to use socialism to transition to communism. If you're out here genuinely arguing that socialism is actually a pro-capitalist system and the "socialist socialism" is the tyrannical variant... Please brush up on your definitions.

Libertarians are often called "classical liberals". Is not only capitalism" - But it is capitalist nonethelesss. "and it is not only socialism it is a blend of the two" - There is no blending. You can't blend poison and antidote. You can't blend matter and antimatter. Socialism is the antithesis of capitalism and prohibits capitalist activity. You think socialism is simply government doing stuff. That's not what it means. "Just because you want to use the term socialism to only mean the all encompassing form , is daft..." - It's not me! The people who created socialism wanted it that way! Go tell real socialists that they're still capitalists. See how that goes. You're the one who wants to use "socialism" to mean something it doesn't, the reason why not being clear, and insisting everyone else is wrong. Including socialists themselves.
