That doesn't make much sense, the Revolutionary war kicked off with the British trying to cut off the Mass. rebels from their own military supplies and although I haven't read the documents in years I do remember that gun ownership was about being ready to defend the state from the founding fathers' own writing. The concept that they came up with a bunch of quotes about liberty and addressing the concern of how would the newly formed states wage war to hide the true intent of maintaining guns in the hands of slave patrols... I mean it doesn't really make any sense considering that no country I know of put on their constitution that law enforcement and armored car drivers had the right to guns. The state simply gives gun rights to whomever they want, no need to put it on the constitution.

@SclountDraxxer okay, but the moment they do anything people start calling them terrorists and saying on twitter that the president needs to drone strike them. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

@SclountDraxxer "Grievances with government policy have proper channels....none of them being gun related." - and what happens when the channels are blocked off or biased against the people? You think the Black Panthers never thought of asking the government to step in when police was harassing and beating their people? "such as a president not leaving office or something" - and it has happened. Athens, Georgia in 1946. The Ludlow Massacre. Or even the countless police no-knock raids. There are many instances where one can't simply go through the proper channels and must fire at government troops in self-defense or else you die.
