@911truthfarmer "went to a country with socialized medicine" - but went to a private clinic and paid for his own surgery. It wouldn't matter if he went to fucking Somalia or North Korea, he looked for the best place to get surgery for his hernia - and it happened to be a private clinic where they charge for their services.

@pyotrkropotkin406 what are you trying to imply here? The accusation is that Rand Paul took advantage of the Canadian system, isn't it? He paid out of pocket. Therefore he did not take advantage of the Canadian taxpayer. He went to a hospital that charges for their services. He was charged because he is not a Canadian citizen and he did not get his appointment through the Canadian system. It's a hospital. It's private. It charges for their services. So what are you trying to imply here?

@pyotrkropotkin406 "You tried to make it sound like they were outside the Canadian system" - but they were. The clinic sees patients through the Canadian system (they are contracted by the government to see those patients) and by themselves as a private entity. Rand didn't sneak into the backdoor into the Canadian system. "I'm telling you that is how their system works" - but how the system works in irrelevant because Rand was never admitted through that system. "This clinic is not outside their socialized medical system" - oh my god, yes it is. So because Boeing is contracted by the US DoD to make airframes and wings for aging military aircraft, if I want to start an airliner and try to buy a 737 MAX (lol) am I going through the Department of Defense system? If a construction company is contracted by the government to build roads, hospitals, schools, etc and I contract that same company to make me a house, am I getting the house through the public system? This is starting to sound like the "you didn't build that!" type of argument regarding private businesses. So they're private, but because government exists, they're not really private. What the fuck? "Canadians get to use their clinic for free just like everything else there." - yeah. Because the PRIVATE clinic has a deal with the government where they send the bill to the government and get a huge fucking payday in exchange for seeing patients from the public system. It's good for the private business because they get a bunch of guaranteed income for the year and it's good for the state because they get a bulk discount. It's still a private clinic and Rand paid for his shit. Goddamn.

@pyotrkropotkin406 no, you seem to have difficulties understanding it. The clinic Rand went to is CONTRACTED by the government. If you go to their website they literally explain how to use their services through the public system and simply through them as a private entity. It's not a "foreigners have to pay" deal. You can go there as a Canadian and pay out of pocket if you don't want to deal with the public system. For you to get treated there for "free" you need to go through the public system, you are told you need hernia surgery and then the government sends you their way with the documentation. You can't just show up there. I AM NOT CONFUSING ANYTHING WITH THE BRITISH SYSTEM. LITERALLY NOTHING I HAVE SAID COULD MAKE YOU BELIEVE THAT.

@pyotrkropotkin406 Amy, please provide evidence that Rand did not pay. Prove it. Fucking prove it or admit to be a goddamn liar. Prove. It.
1
@pyotrkropotkin406 1. Amy did you post the evidence? So you admit to lie, then? 2. I didn't confuse anything. I said what their website states. They are totally private. You are a liar. I sm not confusing the systems. It's not stupid to have money and pay directly, what's stupid is the state charging people who are willing to pay and don't use public healthcare. Stop lying, Amy.

@pyotrkropotkin406 1. I am not confused. The clinic is described as private in both wikipedia and their iwn website, which includes instructions on how to be treated there both through the Canadian system and outside it. It is not a public facility as you will not get an appointment there, you have to have an appointment through the public Canadian system and then be referred to them for treatment. I did not confuse anything. Your mentions to the French and British systems were pure red herrings. I never said anything related to those systems. I simply read the CLINIC'S OWN WEBPAGE AND THEIR INSTRUCTIONS TO GET TREATED THERE. 2. You still haven't posted the evidence which means you accepted being called a liar. You made a claim, refused to prove it. You're a liar, Amy. You can't argue and you can't tell the truth - so you lie and hope others read and believe your lies.

@pyotrkropotkin406 "they are apart of the public system of healthcare in Canada." - when a construction company is contracted to build roads, schools, courthouses, etc are they part of the public system? Answer the question. "I'm telling you that they are still part of. the public healthcare system. Something you keep trying to deny" - if they are privately owned, and they get contracted by the government to perform services, how does that make them part of the public system? Is Lockheed-Martin a public company? Raytheon? They are paid by governments to make weapons. Pretty much all their sales are to governments. Does that make them public or private? Answer the question so we can expose your double-standards. "think that their privately owned status is unusual in the Canadian system" - I never said anything was usual or unusual. Stop lying. "yet it is still classed as a public system due to how they receive most of their money" - Again, the Military Industrial Complex makes most of its money through government sales. That's where they get most of their money. Does that make them public? It's not uncommon for government buildings to have private security, a service purchased from private companies. Does that mean private security companies are public? Governments often contract certain services such as garbage collection and waste disposal to private companies, does that make them public? "In England" - nobody gives a fuck about England, I didn't say anything about England and this isn't about England. Stop bringing up red herrings. You have still not provided evidence that Rand Paul did not pay anything for the service and his treatment was paid by the Canadian taxpayer. Are you still insisting on your lie?
1
@pyotrkropotkin406 You obviously don't understand how the English language works, because you're still talking about healthcare systems around the world when that's not the subject. Also, have you brought up evidence that Rand Paul did not pay? Or have you accepted your condition as a pathological liar?
