If I go from 500 to a 1000 thousands in a day, and you go from 1 dollar to 10 dollars in a day, your wealth is growing faster than mine. Also, please notice the inherent contradiction in your argument. The Soviet Union was not marxist, but even if it wasn't you praise their efforts. Okay so are you defending marxism or the Soviet system? Sure, it's not so much a "contradiction" but an attempt to have the cake and eat it too. You want to distance marxism from the Soviet Union, but the Soviet Union was good. Even though they were evil and kept the wealth in the 1%. But they were good! Just ignore the evil. Not marxist. But good! "They could never establish a consistent tax base in the conquerd countries." - Gee I wonder what they were doing to those countries.
