@TheKillerBush well, technical fields don't have to deal with the consumer being an average person who gets scared by "dihydrogen monoxide".

Seemed heavily defended to me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzNC5p06H7U

It's just the shape of a part. If you bust a connecting rod you buy a new one and replace it. You don't weld them back together.

@My-Opinion-Doesnt-Matter the volumetric efficiency is calculated through a theoretical volume. One liter is always one liter, but a forced induction one liter engine will theoretically behave like a larger NA engine.

It doesn't screw Apple over. Every car has its performance and weight goals, alongside fuel efficiency and emissions. Phone batteries are phone batteries.

@ObiWanCannabi It's not crazy. All the devices I have that were purchased in recent years have USB-C. So clearly every one of them can use USB-C no problem. Try to brake a Hummer with Smart car brakes.

@AntonioSousa-ms3cf LMAO production of ICE engines has not stopped. Engineering Explained has a video for people like you, ICE still has a future and even when electric personal automobilies become the norm there will still be ICE-powered remote generators, naval vessels, light aircraft, airliners, etc.

The car is a sacrificial shell for the occupant. You know what happened to people inside those "though" cars? The impact was transfered to them and they died.

@TheGreyBee Look at the knee joints. It would never be considered "good enough" if it were mechanical.
1
@TheGreyBee I had an effed up right knee by 25. And there's plenty of wrestlers, BJJ and MMA fighters with messed up knees by their 30s-40s. Cars have replaceable parts. So they're not built to last forever, you just purchase new ones. Meanwhile, humans were never meant to just go down to the human parts store and buy new stuff. They need to last.
1
You take the old part out and insert the new one? Just like we do to cars today?

@grahammewburn your yatch and solar panels were not the result of simple living. You reap the benefits of large industry and then pretend everyone can live a simple life like you. If everyone lived a simple life, solar panels would not exist. The steel, aluminum, carbon fiber, fiberglass, thermoplastic, epoxy, etc would not exist to power your lifestyle.
1
The hell does that mean? A lot of stuff does not have alternate manufacturers.
