@towersofgiza This is just being an annoyance for annoyance's sake. Yes, you can catch it. But the assumption is that everyone is infected and asymptomatic, which strains the logic because masks prevent symptomatic spread by arresting large particles of spit and mucus. The asymptomatic spread is carried by aerosolized particles that simply follow the path of least resistance and flow along with the air through the gaps. And the logic is also that masks protect others, not you, so you're going to catch it with a mask or not.

The problem is that the votes do not run society, they put professional liars on stage to continue the theater. Did the votes for Trump in 2016 change how the monopoly ran? No.

@callmedeno Okay. You exposed corruption inside Amazon. But Amazon is still in control and doing exactly what they were doing anyway. So how did you make a difference?
1
@callmedeno The corruption was laid to bare. The corrupt are still in charge, and half the population doesn't believe in the corruption anyway. All I'm hearing is that your reasoning ends up not mattering, so why are you asking me to consider it?

The universe is mostly vacuum with some pockets of gas orbiting solid matter or itself. The misconception is that vacuum sucks. It doesn't, it's areas of high pressure that either press against or flow into vacuum. What happens when you eliminate the source of pressure?

Doesn't matter, for the purposes of the trial the case would have to be confirmed by both test and symptoms. So right there they skewed the results.

We're always on the backfoot right now. Who makes the peace talks between citizens and agents of the state? The US couldn't create a state in Afghanistan.

I too buy things so that I can destroy them. Just kidding, if the worry is strip mining or toxic dumps it's extremely easy for such actions to just affect the land neighboring it so whoever wants to do that is either going to face hundreds of lawsuits or buy so much land to act as a buffer it actually ends up unprofitable.

So if the kid misbehaves in a thousand different ways, a good way of raising him or her is making them afraid of a thousand things by associating it to pain.

@huskypup3489 This happened last year when government police backed down. So exactly how is government going to solve that problem? You didn't disprove anarchy, you just proved that there's issues political systems can't solve.
1
@huskypup3489 Tough titties. They stood down anyway. Government is supposed to work, and it doesn't. Big surprise.

@toddf2348 "What stops predators from prostituting young people?" - Not the state. Remember when Jeffy E. was convicted and his sentence allowed him to spend 16 hours per day out of prison?

And because people think this is good reasoning, I have to carry the sword and knowing how to use it because their F'ed up kids will attack me as a result of their abusive upbringing.

How do you prevent that right now?

@williamdelahunty3677 The state barely functions, and I have no hope for any stability. The state just performed a controlled demolition of the economy and I'm being sold "stability"? I don't even know which new rules will be introduced next month and walked back in 3 months, for them to be reintroduced 5 months later. Somalia without a government actually showed improvement over the previous government.

@AH-lw2bj "How do you stop a foreign nation with an army from invading a country with no leader or governing body?" - How is a foreign nation going to occupy a location without leader or governing body? Without a local government to accept peace talks, you can't do anything with that nation. What do you want? Mineral resources? What happens when your miners and geological surveyors simply get shot by locals?
1
@williamdelahunty3677 Why do you take for granted that having a state would make you able to overcome an invading force? The US wasn't trying to win? Cope. How are you going to feed the government agents? Where are governments going to get the bullets? How do governments stop artillery? The Big Government tough guy act is delusional and cringe. The state isn't deterring the state right now, why the hell are you afraid of a foreign nation when you're just getting milked by your own countrymen?

@williamdelahunty3677 Vacuum doesn't suck, pressure pushes. The problem isn't vacuum but the pressure. Most of the universe is vacuum. Nothing's trying to fill it. Right now whoever has the most force makes the rules. The state has the monopoly on force. Natural resources aren't evenly distributed, but humans aren't evenly distributed across the planet either. We concentrate where they are available, and slowly conquer inhospitable regions by making them livable. And I think we all know what happens when states are in charge of resource distribution.
