@redemptionhappens7725 I mean, we stopped using CFCs to address the ozone layer and the acid rain was addressed with better and cleaner fuels, emissions controls, catalytic converters and scrubbers installed on smoke stacks. Now you can make a flamethrower with a lighter and deodorant can because we use butane. We stopped burping sulfur into the atmosphere from every exhaust pipe and natural gas overtook coal, which is cleaner burning. That had nothing to do with global warming. It had to do with the fact that we were polluting a lot and now we pollute less.

The rifle thing is meaningless. If the cartridge dictates category so now one can't shoulder a PCC but can shoulder an AR, even though both weapons are exactly the same with only different barrel and bolt. 22 Long Rifle is shot out of both pistols and rifles. Let's not ask for even more insane categories, this benefits absolutely nobody especially if the end goal is going after the NFA anyway. In fact, it would harm many because their 5.56 "pistols" are now rifles under the SBR definition without registration. Asking for this clarification would actually criminalize many gun owners.
