Yeap, they killed and seriously harmed a bunch of people so an extra law would have stopped them!

The Fourth Protocol, by Frederick Forsyth.

It's much more likely that they're there because of material stolen from medical devices or thermal generators from isolated weather stations, as those are known sources of factual nuclear material theft while nuclear weapon theft is entirely speculative.

@markromine5103 Duck and cover was specifically developed thanks to survival testimony from Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It was later proven to work when the 2013 meteor airburst over Russia, and a teacher told the students to duck and cover while she watched the incident. The students were unharmed but the teacher was blasted with glass shards.

@airthrowDBT Oh yeah most of the people who stole that stuff were only looking for scrap metal. There was one case where the guys who found a radioactive thermal generator suffered severe burns because they slept leaning against the RTG since the object was warm.

Try to drive your car after taking out the ECU and all the electrical connections. The mechanical bits might be there, but have fun trying to get it to start.

He was mixing his supply of fresh water and also ingesting water from the fish he ate.

@kingjellybean9795 It's whatever you want.

@LRM12o8 Tanks, planes and drones haven't created peace in Afghanistan. Despite trillions spent the US will pull out eventually and the Taliban will regain their foothold.

Sun goes down every day. Easy to keep track of.

These businesses were committing manslaughter, if only there was a law that we could charge them with... We really need to write one that punishes people for killing others when they're negligent or indirectly kill someone by placing them in danger. If only someone wrote a law that made it illegal to cause harm to others...

@OfficialReckM8 don't need the codes if you only want to crack it open and take the spicy rock inside.

@visusdeiveri Healthy food is not expensive. Food marketed as healthy is expensive.
1
@visusdeiveri Yes it is your mindset, because in the real world healthy food is just food and it's cheap.

Typically documentaries about Nazis show stuff they actually did. The fantasy weapons and wacky developments they did are actually portrayed cheerfully.
1
@SoulScream1984 the fact is that they've never been used. So either they were never missing, or were recovered by agencies posing as terrorist buyers.

Refreshing after decades of bloodthirsty warmongers pretending they have class.

Yeah and the Communist Romanian government exposed union leaders to x-ray machines as retaliation for coal miners' strikes.

@cyan_oxy6734 Akiko Takakura survived the Hiroshima bombing only 300 meters from Ground Zero.

@pawala7 "your current administration" - don't you mean every single administration?

@JeantheSecond I seem to remember that child labour rates in the US were about 3% by the time it was made illegal. It was a non-issue by the time government intervened.

Rufus, AKA the Demon Core, was meant to the the third drop over Japan and thus it had a low safety margin. It was safely handled by hand until people got cocky and violating safety procedures. They're not little reactors. Pu-239 is an alpha emitter with a 24,000 year half life. If they were little reactors they'd get poisoned after a short while with fission products and have to get disassembled and reprocessed too frequently to make a nuclear arsenal impractical to maintain.

>corporation commits everything from fraud to homicide through negligence >"we need another law to prevent them from committing these crimes!"

@j.f.fisher5318 The problem is that the dramatic stories are not true so people don't believe them. I remember the claims made 20 years ago.

If mixed with fresh water and you are eating fish for their water content.

It would cost you more to replicate than buying from the store, and you can't outsell Coca Cola without beating their brand recognition.
1
@lordgarion514 Become a multimillionaire how? Pepsi also has brand recognition, and it caters to people who don't like Coke. I don't know if you have tasted budget brand colas, but they taste like gummies. They can't compete on flavor and price at the same time, so they sacrifice flavor and sell it for cheaper to remain competitive. Coca Cola has economy of scale on their side. You don't. So unless you get a contract to be a grocery store/supermarket/gas station/whatever brand drink, you're not well positioned to become a millionaire by manufacturing coke. Especially if you're copying the exact recipe.

If you mix it with fresh water and eat fish. Wikipedia (take that for what you will) states that fatality rates of castaways increase when they consume sea water. So it should not be consumed straight.

@Louis_Davout an encyclopedia will not tell you what was the first reich because it's not called that

Hugh Manatee they've already have got gun control, the idea has been tested and it doesn't work.

I have a friend who makes a point of photographing his Kinder eggs next to his guns due to bullshit arguments like these. If you want a Kinder in the US there's stores that carry them. The FDA ruling is a blanket ban and doesn't target Kinder specifically.
1
It's important to remember that he was mixing sea and fresh water at a 2:3 ratio and also ingesting fresh water from fish.
