  2. ​ @YDDES  "there will be no blast, but only heat" - what exactly do you think a blast is? Did you watch the video? The nuke would create a searing crater that would act like a thruster, pushing the asteroid off course.

  3.  @YDDES  You're thinking of a shockwave, which is a product of the blast. If the blast is the shockwave then what do you call the explosive going off?
