The term cyborg was overheard in Russian comms during the battle for Donetsk airport. As in, the assault was relentless, but the Ukrainians wouldn't budge, so it was like fighting cyborgs. It wasn't a term meant for offense, just incredulity. It was then the Ukrainians who adopted the term cyborg, and the motto "the men didn't give in, the concrete did".

During the 2000s there were releases of a free game called Kuma War which featured straight from the headlines recreations of battles going down in Iraq. Just saying it's not an original thing.

War thunder is a P2W grindfest and Tarkov is hilariously one of the most controversial games due to game philosophy changes and cheaters. To the point people are playing a singleplayer mod (which the developer hates).
