  3. ​ @dannyroe1697  They are there because there's a deconfliction zone. Syria is a brutal free for all with Damascus not even holding control over all their territory. So the deconfliction zone has a US base and a refugee camp.

  9. ​ @nebulaone908  A house and a country isn't comparable. Walls in your house give you privacy and prevent inhabitants from being exposed to the elements. Your house doesn't exactly provide a livelihood so there isn't a line of people trying to get in by any means necessary.
