ATACMS were most likely withheld to negotiate with Russia not to import Iranian long range ballistic missiles after buying the Shaheds. Now that Russia is dealing with NK the US might be saying the deal is off by "finding" unaccounted for ATACMS.

The Russians are just being silly because they do not understand political wrangling and legitimate issues with planning aid packages. Maybe they should lay off the vodka.

Russia mobilized all it's forces dude. In 2021 Shoigu said they had 130-something combat capable BTGs and they invaded with 120. They sent strategic rocket forces guys and sailors to the front. Only internal troops and border forces aren't on the chopping block.

Because they'd have to send those assets back into Ukraine. Remember the pictures of burned out armored convoys in Ukrainian towns and cities? Starting an invasion from scratch is hard.

Who cares? Dig all the trenches, none of them will matter when Tokmak is under artillery range. Would you spend a winter in the trench when the only rail line supplying you is under attack?
