The East has supply lines to Russia and there's positions established there since 2014.

@feedyourmind6713 Russia can't even defend Sevastopol.

Abrams tank. No "h".

@CrowDawg11 Stingers have a 8km range while the Vikhr missile has a 10-12km range. Russia purposefully kept helicopters below Buk radar horizon but far away from Stingers. A F-16 can easily smoke Ka-52s from long range, without getting near the frontline.

@CrowDawg11 It will stay with the troops, which means that when the defensive lines are fixed the troops will have to walk into the line of fire. The Stinger, like most MANPADS, is a "get off me" weapon. You get a revenge shot on the aircraft that's strafing your friendlies. It's not an offensive tool. Russians don't do a lot of gun runs, they pitch up the aircraft and launch rockets into the air, to let them fall like small scale MLRS. That keeps them safe from MANPADS. The Ka-52 doesn't get within Stinger range.

Pretty sure blinding lasers are covered in a convention. You can use lasers to designate but not as anti-personnel.

Well, if the ATACMS aren't a massive blue balls, they'll be another curveball.

Air supremacy would mean the destruction of the entire Russian aerospace forces. Kind of a tall order.

@jessehachey2732 Did you not see the Ukrainian flag hoisted in the air by party balloons? The cardboard drones? Or how Ukraine printed large canvas of their destroyed hangars so they could build new ones and satellite pics from above kept showing the crater?

@jessehachey2732 The point is that weird tactics have been used.
