  2. The ANA was filled with actual Taliban, people just in it for the paycheck, and people with genuine mental disabilities. The money for ammo and rations was pocketed. While the Iraqi army was woefully unprepared they eventually got organized and fought against ISIS's brutal urban warfare tactics. Syrian rebels just couldn't do anything about Russia pummeling cities into dust with air force.

  4. ​ @kenrik2105  In Iraq the US famously gave the trench line one last chance to surrender, they didn't, so the Americans brought armored bulldozers and buried the Iraqis alive. Either way if you actually read the manuals/doctrines most of it was written to fight the Soviet Union. Not the third world. Obviously that most troops wouldn't have done it for real but if you get training from the NATO manuals you are Blue Team and you can guess what Red Team stands for.

  5. Combat first aid needs to be more widespread but Russia lost artillery superiority in the areas where Ukraine is fighting. Major Gen. Popov was relieved of command for complaining about the loss of artillery advantage.
