Efficiency is a function of how much you gain divided by your input. You mean effective. You can be effective but inefficient (require disproportionate resources). Wagner's assault tactics epitomize inefficiency, because with a surplus of manpower you can afford the losses.

And Russia did have problems with missile stockpiles, which is why they stopped volleys to rebuild their stocks and using S-300s and Shaheds to compensate.

@dylanherzig2841 The result was taking the territory. Nothing else, nothing more. How do you grind a defender who is holed up in his positions? You're the one being ground in the advance. The defender will fight off the waves until the position is unsustainable and then fall back. The attacker has to expose himself.
