  1. Libya should not be on the list. The Arab League requested a no fly zone and the UN tasked NATO to enforce it because Europe has assets already in the Mediterranean. Yes I remember that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was very hawkish on Gaddafi but at one point people have to stop asking for intervention and then get mad when things don't go their way.

It's only now that became relevant because there are people who can slip into Russia and speak Russian to conduct these attacks. Before we were only concerned with the Western training putting IS on notice about our tactics.

  8. By the way if you ever heard of rumors of Chechens in Afghanistan that's because the FSB cynically took advantage of 9/11 to whitewash the Chechen wars. Even though Uzbek and Tajik volunteers were indeed found in Afghanistan the Russian state intelligence fed BS to the West to pin it on Chechens.

  11. I did have a girlfriend at one point who wanted to get into the feds as investigator and had some interest in counter-terrorism. I actually managed to bore her with all my "acoustic" knowledge about domestic and international terror.

  12. Cope. Ukraine is doing all sorts of attacks, like targeting refineries, Shahed factories, air bases etc. Out of all the things that help the war effort, why would this be it? Russia loses 10x more people every day in the frontline than in this singular attack.

  16. So the ruse would involve scaring American citizens? The US warned its own citizens to avoid large gatherings due to the terror threat. If Russia didn't believe the warning at first, they should have taken it seriously when the US wasn't feigning concern about the lives of Americans.
