Yes. The NASAMS uses it because it can double as an air defense missile.

@187Rajah Didn't remind me of a tiny warhead in an A2A missile either.

Then why were Motorola and Girkin involved? They are/were Russian nationals. Why was Wagner there?

@187Rajah The explosions mean nothing, could be missiles knocked off course, could be a miss on the ground, could be crashing debris. The battery was active the next day, otherwise the Russian air force would have flown over Kiyv.

@jerseyshoredroneservices225 No radar or command post has been hit, only launchers.

@nateTrh Don't bring Serbia into this, Serbian forces essentially surrounded peacekeeping forces and threatened to shell them so they'd leave and let the commit atrocities against civilians.

Both turbojet and turbofan motors are colloquially called "jet engines".

Russia is a dictatorship, not Ukraine.

You don't die if you don't go to the beach.

No jet engine.

Where did they get a Kh-101 missile?

@mattkelly9000 He had a Russian girlfriend. You know Russians use women to entice Western men. When Scott Ritter went to the former Soviet Union to inspect their nuclear stockpile he also met a young Soviet woman who he ended up marrying. It's a pattern.

@dalecrocker3213 There is a point. Demoralization. They did this in Syria. Knowing that they couldn't flush out entrenched resistance they battered cities. Hitting both military but also civilian targets makes the cities unlivable, eventually enough people move out that it breaks the will on those inside the city.

But it was Russia that started fighting...

That's a very specific pleading. The missile wreckage is in the hands of Ukrainian authorities. An independent investigation needs the independent investigators to trust Ukraine that the missile wreckage wasn't replaced by Russian ones. Right there you have satisfied your need to keep doubt, and thus exonerate Russia.

Iraq had WMDs and Assad did use chemical weapons.

@b.a.m.5078 It didn't get jammed. Those ballistic missiles come in screaming so they don't spend enough time inside the jam bubble. It broke apart over water.
