Except he endangered people with a failed attempt to kill a germ. Look up the AZT scandal. A cancer drug that was given up on due to being too dangerous, that he tried to bring back as an HIV drug.

Bro I'm in Europe and the same happens here. You have problems with some guy for decades and nothing happens. Then one day there's an argument and someone pulls out a shotgun. Only after there's an homicide does anyone care. Then TV crews go to the area and all the witnesses say "yeah this has been going on for years and now someone's dead, oh well". Justice is slow. Ped0s and domestic abusers sometimes get suspended sentences and go home free. Sometimes someone knows someone in local government and gets a court ruling reversed, so you have to go to a higher court to settle a dumb land dispute.

Oh and we don't talk to the police too. If you self-incriminate Euro cops won't ignore it. The reason you don't talk to police is because you don't want to give them any reason for arresting you. Arrests are good, even in Europe. Shows they're doing their job. Shows they need funding. If there's no crime politicians start taking the money to fund something else.

@MR2car They're corrupt too. I mean, police officer is a career for "bad boys" not fine upstanding people. There was a story a couple of years ago, this involves people with only a couple of degrees of separation from me so I won't provide details, but there was a crime ring that involved a guy in a kickboxing team and his cop friends. They were drug dealing, gun running, extorting, etc. A few years before that the department that handled guns and explosives in a police department was helping offload explosives and detonators from the legal market (demolitions, mining, etc) to the black market. A few months ago someone was filming a police arrest (obviously white cops arresting a black guy) and one of the cops straight up slaps the phone out of the woman's hand. And his body language almost made it seem he was about to beat her up. Obviously, it's worse in places ran by cartels. But compared to the US? It's about the same. The only difference is that they shoot less here because they actually get in trouble. Even over justified shootings.
