  2. But that's not true. Ukraine was a separate country inside the USSR. We understand that they were under Moscow's thumb but the same goes for the Warsaw Pact members. The Bolsheviks could not get a decisive win over Ukrainian independent movements so as a compromise Ukraine got to be a separate republic inside the Union of Socialist Soviet Republics.

  3. ​ @VelkePivo  Dawg China and India have an active border dispute and their troops get into skirmishes in the mountains. This isn't "erudite", it's basic required knowledge to speak on the issue.

  4. Due to the Cold War there's a long running relationship between Russia and India so the US supported Pakistan. Now India has beef with China. You can see how the West is caught in the middle.
