The issue is that the culture war is not won by giving up ground either. The infighting might be silly, but having conservative porn stars and conservative drag queens, and "conservative" flavors of everything the left already won on is just that slippery slope everyone keeps saying it's real on every other video, but now it's not a thing because reasons. Can't wait until Charlie Kirk is promoting his conservative drag queen story hour.

Buddy, Trump was the perfect wrench to toss into the gears of the machine and watch it whine for a while. But he's a lifelong Democrat who took advantage of the pendulum swinging. I want nothing to do with the religious right who thought that Trump was their guy.

Now that we have reliable contraceptives, we've started to see other problems emerge. "Have you ever actually thought about why porn is "bad" beyond you were told it was so it is...? Can you give one actually rational reason for why?" - Not only does excessive porn consumption literally create a reward hacking mechanism that leads to addiction, it's also now combined with social media. The porn industry unfortunately has the same incentive as regular social media to keep people glued to their screens while also having a very direct connection to the user's brain. Likes and notifications are abstract. Porn is literally taking over your biological functions. And internet porn essentially killed the "traditional" industry, I've read reports that traditional productions are paying less per scene and the performers are boosting their incomes through fan interaction through other subscription services.

The fact that I don't want the state to employ its armed agents against prostitutes doesn't mean I have to agree with the profession. I think people have the right to put whatever they want into their own bodies, I wouldn't advocate for other people to do it.

@Cameron Pangborn I don't care that she does porn. Just like I don't care that a political organization kicked her out. The threat is contaminating the conservative side with progressive ideals. What's the point of conservatism if it's just progressivism driving the speed limit? How am I being authoritarian? I'm standing with TPUSA's right to free association, not calling for a ban on porn.

Who gets to decide what gender is? You're denouncing TPUSA's right to freedom of association. An organization is free to not want to associate with people in particular. Neocons are anti-porn? So paleo-cons are the pro-porn ones, then?

You can scream until you're blue that you're not becoming the left, but they'll simply adopt more insane positions and brainwash kids to accept them. Then you'll be forced to cater to more insane people in order to have your big tent movement. Then one day will come that finally the left will adopt a position that you won't and the conservative movement you helped create will shun you for trying to gatekeep. You can copy their tactics when you have their institutional support, control of the media, etc. If you copy tactics but you don't have access to the same means you're wasting your time. The US Army copying the Vietcong wouldn't work. Your example proves you wrong. They can do whatever they want and face no consequences, you do anything even remotely similar and you're demonized. You can't copy their tactics when you have no institutional support. You're actually fighting them by naively thinking that you can play by the same rules when YOU are able to recognize that they don't play by the same rules as you. They're cheating at the game and the umpire is on their side.
