@lolcat5303 Negotiations were always open, the problem is that Russia pretty much demanded demilitarization of Ukraine. Trump said "negotiate, or else..." which is very, very different.

Russia broke the Minsk agreements before the ink dried. Not to mention the Budapest memorandum and the two treaties signed with independent Chechnya.

TZD is inevitable

@juliantheapostate8295 The Duran? Alexander Mercouris is a disbarred fraud who switched law practice for appearences on Russian TV outlets. The Duran is owned by Peter Lavelle, a RT employee. Edited by Sergey Gladysh per his LinkdIn, and Sergey is KSORS (Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots). Come oooooonnn, do I need to say it?

@Stup1d0zz That makes no sense. Britain entered the war because Poland was the red line and Germany crossed it. The Polish government in exile was located in Britain. Japan also needed to knock the US off the Pacific Ocean and Japan v USSR were foes. There would be no reason to piss off the Soviets and have them interfere in the Pacific.

No true. Neither Putin nor Zelensky had talked directly which meant the Turkey talks were handled by mediators. There was no deal ready at that point. All Boris said was that you can't trust a Russian deal. Then the Bucha graves were found. That's what derailed the peace process.

Putin gambled that Trump would pressure Ukraine to stop fighting.

@Stup1d0zz It's not about the US becoming more involved. It's about the massive Gazprom layoffs, the sovereign wealth fund and gold reserves being plundered. Trump only needs to dangle the lifeline and ask Putin if he wants to pull out or sink.

Not true.

Bro they threaten every non-NATO country around them and they've issued around 20 nuclear threats to NATO itself since ~2012.

@DebasedAnon What do you mean no cards? Gazprom is gonna have massive layoffs. CPI increased 21% in one year. Banks forced to support military production with unsecured loans. Interest rates are absurdly high. Stick a fork in it. It's done.

Putin needs North Korean weapons. Their industry is under Ukrainian drone attack daily.

Putin wasted his Soviet stockpiles, begs Iran and Fat Kim for ammo, and his only leverage is the nuclear button (which does require men like you and me to carry out the actions to fuel the missiles and turn the keys to doom the world they live in).

@PumpkinHoard the US didn't destroy the Nordstream. The hint was that NS2 (inactive) was destroyed and NS1 (halted by Russia) was damaged. Russia offered to repair the NS1 in exchange for sanctions relief. Curious. Also the Russian research ship with the minisub was sighted in the area.
1
Not true. Russia instigated it.
