  1. What a riddiculous strawman. The question being proposed is a person who lived a full life, who greatly surpassed the average lifespan, being asked if they're willing to ruin the world for their children and grandchildren just to have a slighter higher chance of surviving an extra year or two. It's not just economic issues. It's ruin. Dreams shattered. Careers down the drain. Deaths from despair.

  4. The lockdowns were to flatten the curve. Area under the curve is the same (aka same number of people). Curve with high peak, ICU is swamped, people get no care. Curve with low peak but wide base, takes longer to get through but ICUs are not overwhelmed. You get it anyway. Just later. If you go back, you were told EVERYONE was going to get it. The chronic illness thing was brought up more than a year into the lockdown.
